“The most important thing in life is to learn how to give out love, and to let it come in.” Morrie Schwartz
Dear Treasure,
I'm writing from central California, where the weather is warm and dry. I've just finished rereading Tuesdays with Morrie , and somehow, it was even better the second time.
The book is about dying, but really, it’s about living—just like most books about death tend to be.
I recently started reading, Endless Forms, a book about wasps, an often overlooked insect. According to the author, people often favor bumble bees and forget the wonder of wasps. But did you know that the wasp’s unique behaviors actually contributed greatly to our understanding of how to make paper?
Well, the other day, I watched a wasp float over a pool, and for the first time, I didn’t flinch. I sat there, at a safe distance, feeling more curious than afraid. Perhaps even the very worst of us have redeemable qualities, which I find quite encouraging.
What is encouraging you this week?
Thanks for being here,
Ash
Lovely thought. Thanks for sharing it.
What a huge step for you. I am glad you had that experience.
