I've just finished reading 'Winter Garden' by Kristin Hannah. She’s my favorite author right now. The way she weaves together historical events and narrative storytelling is so beautiful and moving. I could not recommend this book more!
Speaking of books, I recently hosted my third annual birthday book swap. There's nothing like having family and friends in the living room, laughing and sharing their favorite books. We drank coffee, ate pancakes, and enjoyed each other’s company.
I kept glancing at all the shoes by the door, and something about it made me smile. It was the way everyone kicked off their shoes and made themselves at home. It made our old carpet feel like holy ground.
